Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
I write to you today, to reach out to you in efforts to help support our organization. A Seattle Foundation program called “GiveBIG” is scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
Because Communities Matter
Our collaboration with our partner services; such as mental health, outreach, housing, and chemical dependency treatment saves tax payer dollars. We help people transform and become self-sufficient with life skills and contribute to a healthy and vibrant community.
Because children, youth, and adults Matter
HNF comprehensive training program works to build a strong foundation and support system for every student who passes through our doors. The program works with students individually, moving them towards a successful reentry into the community and enabling them to create a new life for themselves and their families.
The HNF program is an intensive training program combining hands-on food-service training with classroom instruction, individual case management and job placement services. This program prepares homeless and disadvantaged students for jobs in the restaurant and hospitality industry and helps them to keep those jobs.
The Seattle Foundation's GiveBIG is a one-day, online charitable giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations - like ours - who make our region a healthier and more vital place to live. Through a "stretch fund", The Seattle Foundation will match a portion of every gift made to Halo Network Foundation!
Here's the trick: the more donations made to HNF, the further those donation will be stretched. So rally your friends and family to GiveBIG to HNF on May 2nd!
